Well, gang, it's the last big weekend for summer 2010! It's been a great season and we have ya'll to thank...it's been a blast!
Celebrate the end of summer with us over Labor Day weekend and enjoy some great music with Big Cat on Friday, Silver Eagle on Saturday and Krush on Sunday - all starting around 8:30 pm.

There's a new energy in the valley this week with the great news for the future plans for Cuchara Mountain Resort!

Big Cat will be here on Friday to liven up your Friday night and Saturday brings back Sneakers with some oldies but goodies!!!

We've got great news!!! The ski resort has been purchased and some great plans are being made for the area....
A complete all season resort with a mountain coaster, tubing hill, zip lines and much more!

Come to the mountains and beat the heat...and enjoy the sounds of two talented bands. Rockin' Horse will be here on Friday to get you out on the dance floor and Family Juls will croon the night away on Saturday eve.

Our local songwriter and performer, Andy Hackbarth will open the evening with Holly Furman at 8 pm followed by Due West at 9 pm.

Silver Eagle takes the stage tonight to kick off Father's Day Weekend here in Cuchara! Tomorrow night, Big Cat Band with their special brand of Rock n Roll! The music starts both night nights around 9pm...

Opening Day for the Dog Bar and Grill is set for April 29th!
The snow is melting off fast and Summer is just around the corner...
Our annual Dog Bar & Grill Job Fair will be held next Friday and Saturday, April 16the and 17th from 10am - 2pm each day. We're looking for positive smiling faces for waitstaff, bartender and kitchen positions! Be sure to bring your ID and come see us next week!

Our good friend Gary Bridges has completed his fourth book in the "Cuchara Chronicles" Series. "The Footprint In The Lake" will be published this spring and already plans are underway to have a book signing at the Dog Bar & Grill in July!

As we close out 2009 and welcome in 2010, we want to say "Thanks" to all of our great customers who made this last season our best ever... Our Facebook Fanbase is growing every day, nearing 700 as we write this! You guys are the greatest customers in the world!
Yet to come in the "Off" season, be looking for more broomball action in the next couple of months. As always, your Where In The World Photos and stories are welcome, and of course, we always want to see you and your canine friends on our Wall of Fame! Keep those cards and letters coming!

If you're coming back to Cuchara for the Holiday, we would love to see you! The Dog Bar & Grill will be open for Dinner this coming Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, closed on the 24th and 25TH... Then beginning on Saturday, December 26th, we'll be open for Lunch and Dinner through January 3rd!
Also, on Saturday, December 26th, we welcome the return of BROOMBALL to the Cuchara Valley... Join us at 1:30pm at the ski area parking area across from the base area...
On New Years Eve, join us for the great sounds of Broken Angel, beginning at 9pm, as we say goodbye to 2009 and welcome in a brand new decade! Our 7:00pm seating for dinner is sold out, but come on out and enjoy some great music!

After a festive Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, come on back to Cuchara and relax for the weekend! We'll be opening our doors at 5pm for dinner on Friday with Broken Angel performing at 8:30!

New Winter Hours and Some Time Off For Family...

A few special notes for our guests as we move into the winter months... We'll have new hours to take us through New Years Eve... Open on Fridays beginning at 5pm for dinner, Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 12 Noon for Lunch and Dinner...
Also, we're taking some time off to spend time with our sons, Chris and Ryan, as they prepare for their careers in the Marine Corps...
We'll be closed the weekends of November 13-15 and again November 20-22, reopening again on Thanksgiving weekend... We'll have a new entertainment schedule coming out soon as well... Stay warm and come see us when you're back in Cuchara!

As the temperatures have cooled in the valley, the leaves are turning the most magnificent shades of Golds, Reds and Yellows... The Fall Colors are at their most vibrant now through the next few days!
Our new Fall hours at the Dog Bar are 12:00 Noon to 8:00 pm for lunch and dinner on Friday, Saturday and Sunday through the end of the year.

This weekend brings Oktoberfest to La Veta and three great bands and musicians to the Dog Bar & Grill! Friday night, Silver Eagle returns to the stage at 9pm... Saturday, its the incredible vocals of Jill Michaels and Broken Angel from 9pm until ??... Then Sunday, a repeat performance from La Veta native Trudy Price beginning at 6pm.

This weekend brings more outstanding music to the mountains!
Black Out will be serving up some great tunes with accomplished guitarist Shawn Martinez (do ya like Stevie Raye Vaughn?) on Friday night from 8:30 - midnight.
Then for all you Broken Angel fans, we'll have them performing for two nights this weekend. Put your dancin' shoes on for Saturday night from 8:30 to midnight, and then enjoy Sunday's performance from 6 to 9 pm.
